    what type of stretches do you recommend?

    You’ve got to make sure you are doing the “right” stretches to “prepare your body to perform” specific to your golf swing. Also, your stretching should be more dynamic (movement) and not static (holding). Hope this helps.

    Sometimes when I stretch before I golf I play worse. Maybe I just play better tight?

    I never heard stretching before exercise cited as a reason for lower performance!
