now fold over ur hands on the club, if u dont see ur thumb under ur hand slide ur first hand back a bit not ur fingers, but just tht little part, u should see ur thumb, the “v” should start from the crease where ur thumb starts continuing from ur hand, thus forming a “v”. ur left thumb should be in the middle of it, thts how u know its the right grip, then slide ur hand back to cover the thumb, it feels weird at first but it helps a ton. pm me any more questions. btw im 14 been playn since 1 1/2

kk, im lefty so bear with me here,i have an interlocking grip, others are overlap, and baseball, interlock is in ur case pinky on ur right hand interlocking with the index of ur left, overlap (i use the reverse overlap for putting)i think is pick of right hand onverlapping index of left, baseball is just 10 fingers…dont use the baseball. after tht, the crease in ur hand ther sould be those “fortune teller lines” on ur hand, ur thumb, left, should be on the middle one, the longest. continued

also good clubs help, some clubs take away slice, better known as an “offset” the shaft is offset with the head taking away some slice. that is the bad way out, ur slice may decrease but wont go away nd since u may think its fixed, ull just keep using them and ur slice will get worse, fix it. work on fundamentals, basics, those will fix the more technical stuff, the best clubs by far are titleist. if u dont hit the sweet spot get the 775 cbs, look for used maybe on ebay.

coming down u should have the club at the parralel point when coming down, the same point when taking it back, after hitting the ball ur hands should be immediatly extended and be on a 15-20 degree angle. dont shift ur hips during the swing and dont do any violent motions or taking it up too soon. i should prob make a vid on tis, im a 6 handicap. any questions feel free to ask.

hey many things cause a slice, check your grip first, most important thing, your fingers shouldnt be pointing parallel downwards the club, your thumb and index finger should make a “v” and a line from the inside of the v should be parralel with the club. if u have tht done the maybe ur taking the club up too fast. your club when u first take it back should be parralel with the ground and ur hands should not “cock” yet, just after this step u take it up, and do a “Wrist cock” coming down continu

he mentions OVERLAPPING twice… the second of the two should be INTERLOCKING. Tiger used to use this in his early days.

This is a good video. Another very, VERY helpful guide is a book called ‘Ben Hogan’s Five Lessons.’ Took five strokes off my game easily.

With that voice I was waiting for a small, rare, and interesting woodland creature to appear.
