His left foot movement is really minimal and not a problem as long as his head is relatively still over the ball..I used to have this same movement when I was a young guy..I believe it allows for a bit more coil and reduces tension especially as you reach with the longer clubs. What I really like about Jack’s swing is how upright his hands are at the top, which normally forces you to finish reaching for the sky…a classic golf swing that is simple and reliable!!

He makes it looks so easy! This is definitely a sport that favors skill, and not youth. TRUST ME! Lol!

Even with his “out of control” left foot, he has a beautiful swing that works well none the less. Nicklaus was one of the best of his time, and a great ball striker.

and actually if you watch a video of every other modern professional golfers swing, watch their left foot.

for example if you watch the ben hogan swing, his left foot never lifts. Im not saying anything wrong about it, just has drawbacks that ide rather not have in my swing.

if your left knee has that much action its much harder to control your swing on a consistant basis, however it doese usually translate into higher clubhead speed. His first swing is crisp, very little lower body movement.

He does that to make sure he has an inside-out swing.

Ironic seeing as he’s one of the greatest golfers of all time yet you think you have enough authority to criticise his swing…please people, I think a reality check’s needed
