True, they don’t, not even Tiger–but the sweet spot IS awfully high these days. If you the ball mark flattened out, the edge almost hits the top of the face.
Man…the more I look at this, the better it looks. I mean, there have been lots of champion golfers with quirky swings, but this one gets better every year. The move from the top of his downswing to waist-high is as good as has ever been (a lot like the young Nicklaus, actually), and the way he stays behind it at impact, the way he unwinds from the ground up while keeping those shoulders back in the downswing…it’s about as good as you’re gonna see it.
I agree, man its hard to keep the back to the target like tiger while the hips unwind.
…sorry, that was supposed to read “if you SEE the ball mark flattened out”….
Anyhow, looking again at the impact shot, it looks to me like he’s hitting it exactly where the newer drivers need to be hit–upper half of centerface.
That’s where you get both power and accuracy–club stays on the right plane while all that force is being transferred up from the ground and out to the club, without the shoulders leading. When I was teaching, that was the #1 thing that was really hard to get across to most high-handicappers, because they do exactly the opposite–throw it from the shoulders down…hips & legs back, shoulders ahead. Ugly and ineffective.

Si me dieran la oportunidad de matar a ese negro de la gran mariconada mierda de Woods, para empezar, lo embalsamo vivo, despues, le meto un palo de Golf por el culo hasta que le saiga por la boca, y lo pongo en una pose ovalada, y por ultimo, lo convierto en un trofeo pintandolo en color plata o color dorado.
2)Tambien haria lo mismo con su ramera y su híbrida basura hijita. Esto lo haria con la unica intencion de que si algun Golf maniaco de la gran puta mierda gana un torneo de Golf, gana al negro de Woods convertido en trofeo. Al igual que su ramera y su basura hibrida descendiente, tambien convertidos en trofeos. Claro esta que dependiendo del torneo de Golf manía, porque el mejor trofeo seria del negro de Woods.
3)Tambien desde aqui, le mando un cordial saludo a la Anciana de Madonna, la Perra Prostituta mas grande de la historia. Que lo mejor que hubiera pasado es que esa Anciana de Madonna, nunca hubiera existido, o se hubiera suicidado cuando era niña, o mejor aun, que la hubieran matado hace muchos años.
