Before when I used a full swing I felt as If the club was really getting away from me and out of control.. now its within my control and I hit sweeter shots more often.. sacraficing a bit of distance for accuracy is more important I would say! Breaking down swings without proper language for the average person viewing is dangerous. There are no "positions" in the golf "Swing"! Maybe start and a finish position! Positions are created when you stop it on a video. The "magic" in the golf swing is forgeting about the ball and swinging through! Just my 2 cents. Science or art!
