In Match Play you’re allowed to practice putting once your ball is holed as long as it doesn’t hold up the players behind you. Again, take advantage of the practice green. If we spend the same amount of time on the practice green as we do on the hitting range. I think we’d be amazed at ourselves and what we’d learn. Good luck!
That’s where “feel” comes into play. Spend time on the “Pratice Green” prior to your round. Don’t focus all your time putting to the hole. spend about half putting to just a spot on the green. That will at least get you started. I hope this helps. I’m not a pro but these have helped me in everyway. Regardless of where I’ve played. Good luck and take “Dead Aim”.
Good tip but pacing a putt doesn’t give you the feel needed to make’em. The best place to pace is on the pratice green. There you’ll learn your “A” “B” “C” swing thoughts for the round. My ABC swing speed is based on my right foot. The Putter head inside my right foot is anything inside of 10′( “A”), just outside of my right foot is 15-18′ (“B”), and well outside of my right foot (6″ or more) is anything longer then 18′ (“C”). Of course, this doesn’t account for uphill or downhill putts. Try it
OMG not the pacing tip. I played golf with a guy that did that on every putt and chip. About halfway into the round i exploded and finally asked him to please; walk it half way and do the math ur killing us here.

but what if the putting green is different from the course/ holes vary!?
Good tip, but in a real competition they don’t let you practice shot do they?

Slow golfers should be shot on sight.
