That is the most basic and understandable way I have EVER see for how to get out of a bunker. Of all the “PROS” I have seen you are the first to mention that aiming well left (for a righty) combined with the totally open club face is what actually gives the ball loft. GREAT TIP!

I played golf at Wichta State and was coached by Grier Jones. Also known as by Johnny Miller as the greatest bunker player of all time. Open clubface.. yes. but, Standing to wide up will make you cut across the ball and it will bounce on the green with an inconsistent bounce. when you play a bunker shot you should square yourself up or a LITTLE slightly open and then use your basics. This makes for a straight bounce on the green instead of it going straight right with inconsistency.

I’m about to be! and I can take you any day on the golf course. your method is great but it isn’t consistent. you have to square you body up with an open clubface! and I can give advice because I am very good at it. if you are trying to sell yourself on youtube you must not be that great!! haha

But your not Grier Jones! are you! lol everyone uses different techniques for this shot from Tiger to Ernie Els, I found this advice to be incrediblely useful and have watched countless other pga tour players performing the same action with great sucess, your not a professional, our you??? I find it so dangerous when people who arent qualified professionals try to give 2nd hand advice…
